To create such an amazing event, you need a group of people with passion and ambition.
Watapana Weekend is organised with family, dance, music and connection in mind. These are the same values we stand for at Watapana Dance Company. André always wanted to organise an event that would make everyone feel at home.
Being born in a very big family on Aruba, family gatherings were a weekly thing — during the school vacations even daily. Everyone would get together at his grandma’s place and connect as a family through conversations, food, laughter, music and the occasional live music by the uncles.
At our event we want to achieve the same feeling: dancers and musicians coming together for that one special weekend in the year to create memories together.
